Melt Pumps

Melt pumps for extrusion

WITTE melt pumps are designed for use with extruders. As a result of the extruder, these pumps reduce the natural pulsation and build up the required pressure for the die.

Optionally, the EXTRU melt pump series can be equipped with our proven herringbone toothing. Particularly demanding melts are thus conveyed very gently. In contrast to an extruder, the pressure build-up by a melt pump is much more efficient. Dies can thus be filled evenly without fluctuations in delivery.

This effectively increases the quality of the end product and significantly reduces the reject rate. The EXTRU series is available as square or round version. It has a modular design and can be extended by various modifications, such as a quick colour change version.
  • Melt pumps from 3 l/h to 17,000 l/h flow rate
  • Melt pumps from 4.7 ccm/rev up to 3,200 ccm/rev delivery volume
  • Melt pumps with a delivery pressure of up to 350 bar
  • Melt pumps with suction pressures of 120 bar and differential pressures up to 250 bar
  • Melt pumps with viscosities up to 30,000 Pas and temperatures up to 350 °Grad
