Gear pumps for rubber and natural rubber processing

Elastomers and natural rubber are very sensitive in their original state, which is a problem with the additional input of temperatures. To not damage the material and to not jeopardize the quality of the end product, our customers use BOOSTER pumps designed for rubber applications. The series can be tempered hydraulically, can establish high pressures and can optionally be equipped with tempered shafts.

It is important to transport the material in a gentle manner in particular when processing natural and synthetic rubber.

Gear pumps are frequently used in the rubber manufacturing process because of their reliability and efficiency. The pump is often combined with a rubber extruder. The advantage of this combination is that the gear pump significantly improves the process. Fluctuations and irregularities caused by the extruder can be prevented by using a rubber melt pump.

The process stage is divided into two segments. The extruder, which handles the feeding, plasticizing and homogenization, and the pump, which generates a constant flow rate, eliminates pressure fluctuations and thus enables consistently high-quality extrusion.

By using a pump, the required pressure for the connected die can be generated independently of the extruder.
